"Games people play"

As an initiative of Systech Academy, we had a presentation on "Games people play" by Mr. Umapathy, Deputy General Manager, Talent Transformation, Reliance Retail Ltd. on June 06th, 2008.
This initiative is to provide sessions on soft skills which will help the associates to equip themselves in those areas and to mark their presence as an active player in whatever role they perform. Such sessions help them to plan, execute, adapt to change and learn from their experiences. To brief about the session, it was interactive and thought provoking. The various topics discussed in this presentation are,
  • People relation
  • Positive stroke
  • Roles people play
  • Self realization
  • Customer satisfaction

Hi All,

Though I have lots of energy to move towards my goal but truly speaking it is very hard to keep the wheels moving all time. But if such kinds of energy booster program are around us then the difficult task seems a bit easy and enjoyable too.

Thanks

We had a nice time with Mr.umapathy, it's really good to hear the right things from the experienced people, he has sowed some seeds in our mind , at some point of time definitely it will take roots,

1. Neccessity for introspection, now and then we need to analyze ourselves, where we are heading towards.
2. Neccessity of right and genuine communication with people.
3. Concept of introducing formal behaviour into the organization.
4. Good communication with team(good internal communication).
5. Passion to go for extra mail.
6. Providing genuine service for customers.
7. break the rules and retain the values.
8. Be real and who you are.
9. Excel in whatever we do, don't be just a another stone in the wall.
10. Importance of goal setting.
11. Power of Positive stroke.

All the above points were illustrated with practical examples.

Thank you ,once again. It will be nice , if this kind of sessions held in regular intervals. It will rejuvenate our spirits

Firstly, thanks to the Training Department for arranging this session.

Sessions like this would help in fine tuning an employee's soft skills. As Mr. Umapathy said, it is the people management skills which take priority over one's academic or technical excellence.

We would like to attend more of such sessions and I'm sure all the participants would agree with me.

Thanks,
Aravind.

Hi all,
First i would like to thank Systech and Mr Maruthu Pandian for giving us this opportunity.

The session 'Games people Play' was interactive. But i was kind of disappointed and I was expecting that he might tell us
1. How to play with the people and their minds.
2. Here the role is to play as a consultant, so how to read the expectations and what the business user wants.
3. How to make a deal successful.

I am looking forward to have some kind of session which fulfills the above expectations.

Regards,
Bharath Ram S
