Both the sessions for PMP are fantastic. Especially the second session has been organized for PMP Abbreviations and the examples given by Maruthu are excellent.Hats Off. Every member whether they are team members or leads, has to know the basics of PMP. It will be useful for our organization's Organized Growth.
Second session of 'Project Management' was conducted on 17th october 2007. In this session Maruthu discussed all the frequently used project management terminologies. Each terminology used in project management was discussed with practical examples . Eventhough session lasted for 2 hours we don't feel like that we have spent 2 hours , it was conducted in an interactive and lively manner. "A professional is the one who has mastered his basics" ,this session helped me to have crystal clear insight into basics of project Management.
Yes I believe in the same, every project team member has to understand the project management concepts; particularly for organization like ours, where versatility & dynamism are expected from every member of the team. These concepts helps to, understand the big picture of any project and also helps to work with the teams across the world.
Thank you guys.
The third session on 'Project Management' by Maruthu held on 29th October 2007.This session summerised the course objective which is educating how to work successfully in projects. All the three sessions made sure that the course objectives were met. All these sessions were interactive and interesting. Maruthu put all his experience and presentation skills into these sessions and ensured that the atmosphere in the hall remained vibrant all the way.
Third session of 'Project Management' was conducted on 29th october 2007. In this session various 'Project Mangement areas' like project integration management, project risk manament, project quality management, project communication management, projcect procurement management etc.. and various process groups involved in project management were discussed. It greatly helped me to understand
1. The importance of having proper understanding of management terms and skills pertaining to project management, apart from technical skills.
2. Importance project communication through out the project management lifecycle(upward and downward communication ,it's pros and cons and it's importance in working in multicultural work environment).
3.Roles and responsibilities of team members , project managers and how it's related to successful project.
4. Where I am currently, what are all the areas i can improve in future and how to use each and every opportunity to grow parallely with the organisation.
All those thinge discussed in this session were illustrated with day to day examples. Each and every associate should have clear understanding of the above mentioned concepts ,so that they can align themselves in right direction.
I appreciate you taking the time to educate me about the team's perspective. I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of this programme.
I am confident that my coursework in team's perspective will enable me to be a productive member of the team.
The sessions on PMP are perfect and straight away it hits it's objectives. Maruthu gave some interesting and outstanding examples. From this session I understood that not only interest and technical skills speak about you.But also the commitment to the work. It's very useful for everyone who wants thier names to be printed in Systech's History.
I found out one site which gives simulation test on PMP. You can test your management and decision making skills there. It consists of some 200 questions. My wish is someone has to document those questions and try to simulate that kind of test for all(budding to be a lead) to knew abt their leader ship skills.
The site name is given below.

I will go thru that site and let us come up with a test/exam on this area.
Thank you.
Although both previous session conducted by Maruthu were good. Those provide a clear picture of Project Management, Related Terms and Areas those directly or indirectly affect it.
But the third session, that was mainly focus on Project Management Life cycle, can help any associate or Project Manager to achieve his goal in perfect way.
This session covered all the key point of Management like
Cost Management, Resource Management, Scope Management, Quality Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, Time Management and others.
These all really need to be taken in consideration whenever or wherever a Project management activity is going on, to move in positive direction. The session was full with live and real time examples that helped me a lot to understand the importance of Project Management Activity.
I would give a lot of thanks to Maruthu for providing his valuable time on this training session.
